WHAT:
Summer temperatures are here, but the Phoenix Zoo is expecting snow. SRP’s Summer of Savings will treat several animals at the Phoenix Zoo to snow in their habitats to help them cool off and beat the summer heat. Guests will see African lions, Bornean orangutans, African vultures, meercats, and more experiencing the snow.
Ten tons of snow will be distributed among the various habitats. The zoo’s staff will also create frozen treats for some of the animals to enjoy.
SRP Summer of Savings will cool off guests to the zoo by offering free ice cream from Mr. Softee from 9 – 11 a.m. at the zoo entrance, while quantities last.
The SRP team will also be onsite sharing energy-saving tips and information, and entry codes for the Summer of Savings Giveaway, which kicks off June 24. More than 25 unique codes will be hidden throughout the zoo and can be entered at srp.net/summer for a chance to win energy-efficient prizes.
SRP customers can enjoy a $10 discount on admission for Snow Day on Friday, June 27, as well as every Friday and Saturday through August 30.
