Weekend Travel Advisory
Hello from ADOT. Stay up to date on scheduled closures for freeway improvement projects in the Phoenix area by clicking our Weekend Travel Advisory Map for Aug. 21-24. Please focus on safe driving and be prepared to slow down and merge safely when approaching and traveling through all work zones. The map has more information about these and other scheduled weekend restrictions:
  • Eastbound Loop 101 (Agua Fria Freeway) closed between 51st Avenue and I-17 from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday (Aug. 24)
  • Westbound Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) closed between Lindsay and McQueen roads (Southeast Valley) from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday (Aug. 24).
  • Southbound State Route 51 narrowed to two lanes between Bethany Home and Indian School roads from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday (Aug. 24). And don't forget northbound SR 51 is narrowed to two lanes around-the-clock near Highland Avenue and Camelback Road for pavement improvement work.
