ADOT's Weekend Freeway Travel Advisory (Phoenix Area)
Feb. 14 - Feb. 17, 2025

Weekend Travel Advisory
Hello from ADOT. There are closures and lane restrictions scheduled for improvement projects along Phoenix-area freeways this weekend (Feb. 14-17). So click the Weekend Travel Advisory Map for more information. And here's a reminder to be prepared for wet roads in the Valley and snow in the high country as the work week comes to an end. Here are some of the scheduled weekend restrictions:
  • Southbound I-17 closed between Loop 303 and Happy Valley Road from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday (Feb. 17) for pavement and bridge work. Allow extra travel time. Stay with the primary detour route and avoid using streets east of I-17 that are not designed for freeway traffic. Primary Detour: Travel west on Loop 303, south on Lake Pleasant Parkway and east on Happy Valley Road.
  • Westbound I-10 narrowed to two lanes in areas between Elliot Road and 24th Street from 8 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday (Feb. 17) for work on the I-10 Broadway Curve Improvement Project. Westbound US 60 (Superstition Freeway) narrowed to one lane between Rural Road and I-10. Allow extra travel time and consider alternate routes.
  • Northbound SR 143 (Hohokam Expressway) closed between I-10 and Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) near Sky Harbor Airport from 10 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday (Feb. 17) for pavement marking and lane shifts. Click the Weekend Travel Advisory Map for more information.
