ADOT's Weekend Freeway Travel Advisory (Phoenix Area)

Hello from ADOT. Well, it's not going to be easy this weekend if you normally would use westbound I-10 between the Chandler area and downtown Phoenix. A long stretch of westbound I-10 will be closed. But on the bright side, you subscribe to this Weekend Freeway Travel Advisory so you're ahead of the game when it comes to alternate routes. Sure, we often say don't go anywhere near the closure that we're about to describe below. But check the description out, click the Weekend Travel Advisory Map and do some planning to limit delays. Here's what to prepare for:
- MAJOR CLOSURE: Westbound I-10 will be closed all the way from Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) to the I-17 "Split" near Sky Harbor Airport from 10 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday (Jan. 27) for work on the I-10 Broadway Curve Improvement Project.
- ANOTHER CLOSURE: Southbound State Route 143 (Hohokam Expressway) closed between Loop 202 and I-10 near Sky Harbor Airport from 10 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday (Jan. 27). Yes, this also is for work on the Broadway Curve Project.
