ADOT's Weekend Freeway Travel Advisory (Phoenix Area)
Dec. 12-15, 2025

Hello from ADOT. No full mainline freeway closures are scheduled in the Phoenix area this weekend (Dec. 12-15). There are some lane closures or other restrictions on the schedule. You can find those by visiting azdot.gov. Here are a couple of examples:

I-17 narrowed to one lane in either direction overnight in areas between State Route 74 (Carefree Highway) and Anthem Way from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Friday and Saturday nights (Dec. 12-13).
Riggs Road closed in both directions at the I-10 interchange from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday (Dec. 15). Consider using Queen Creek Road as an alternate route.
